    Posted: 06 Sep 2025 at 5:21pm
I have a Skytrax 200 installed.  I cannot get ANY winds/temps aloft data at all on the iPad, either on the IFD100 app or ForeFlight.

At work I was flying with a guy that has a Sentry, he could share the data coming in with me on my iPad.  The WX display was fast, could pull up winds & temperature aloft, with streakline representation on ForeFlight.

Why cannot I get this info through the Skytrax?  I was on a trip from San Diego area to the San Francisco Bay Area and could not get this information in either direction.  We were up around 11500' on average and getting all other ADSB data, EXCEPT winds & temps.  It would have been very helpful as I was trying to figure out what would be the winds at lower or higher altitudes.  Very frustrating.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

- Do you have more than one IFD?
- Which IFD port(s) are connected to the Skytrax?
- Is the iPad connected to the network created by the IFD?

Only one IFD

Will have to check which port - directions to do that would be appreciated

Yes, it is connected to the network created by the IFD as it is getting traffic information on both the IFD 100 program and ForeFlight, and both can send flight plans and other stuff to the IFD 440

Could this be settings need to be set in the SkyTrax 200?

Thank you for your assistance.

Go into Maintenance mode (like you're loading databases).  Then go to the config tab.  Take pictures of the RS232 and ARINC429 config pages.  Send them to slindsley at avidyne dot com.
