Hello,  I have an IFD 540 with a G5 without a GAD29 (no Airnic 429) and want, that the WX 500 stromscope  gets the ground track from the IFD, because the G5 does not send the heading to the IFD via RS232 (only via Airinc). The documentation from the WX500 says, that it is possible to get the ground track from the GNS 430. Does the IFD 540 do the same? Unfortunately is the WX500 complete misplaced in my aircraft and I must remove the whole WX500 in the fuselage (around 3 hrs work) to change the WX500 from Heading (xyz) via KI525a to RS232 from the GPS. So I want to know, if it is the work worth to change to “Heading track via RS232” (you must solder new cable bridges in the SUB-D plus).

Many thanks in advance and best regards from Germany with still no speed limit on the highway (the government decides today about a speed limit L )
