Just started using IFD100 with a new 5th Gen IPAD Mini and cannot get the map to switch to day mode. Everything appears to be displaying in night mode with, mainly, map background color being black. Probably something simple but can't figure it out. I have forced everything to day mode, night shift off. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Check to verify you have the NAmerica terrain database (and any others you would like) installed on your IFD100.

That was it. I could have sworn I downloaded the terrain but obviously I didn't.
