If you don't know the airport ID can you enter a name or location and get the ID from IFD440?
For example can you start typing ... ... The Eastern Iowa Airport (name) Or ... Cedar Rapids (city) And get ... KCID (Airport ID)?

Yes
Press the FMS button and select the INFO tab. On the bottom left of the screen there will be a Search line select key. Select that and a window will pop up. You can type in a city name and all the identifiers associated with it will be displayed. You can select any one of them. The identifier will be pasted into the INFO screen and all the information associated with it will appear. For example, typing in CEDAR RAPIDS displays the VOR (CID), the ILS (IRRU), and the airport (KCID). Highlight KCID and then press the Select line select key. Everything the IFD knows about the Cedar Rapids airport will be displayed on the INFO screen. Mike |

Mike, Works exactly as you stated and found Airport, etc. by entering City. Airport Name is not supported but if it had to be one or the other, City seems the best choice. Thanks, Doug |
