How do you exit a hold from a flight plan? What are the steps? With the sim how do I move onto the next waypoint?

This is covered on page 5-13 of the current Pilot Guide: toggle continue/exit hold using the line select key (LSK)

Maybe it's the same. In the air on an approach with an "upcoming" hold/procedure turn. I highlight the hold turn box on the flight plan page and hit the CLR button to remove it.
