What nM range from my position does ADSB traffic display on IFD540 main screen?

I know the sidebar icon is 2 or 6 nm

I would like to see ADSB traffic within 15 nm of my position on moving map as that may change my altitude / direction of flight.

Is this a feature that might be programmable in future SW release?

Not sure I understand the question. If I put the thumbnail into UNRESTRICTED mode, then I can see traffic very far away on the main screen. Easily 30 or 40 miles away.

To adjust the thumbnail range, tap the upper half of the icon.  To adjust the mode, tap the lower part of the icon.

What ADS-B Out device are you using to stimulate the network?  Does your ADS-B Out device "advertise" that you only receive data on the UAT frequency?

Hi David,

The question is similar to foreflight ADSB traffic filter option   i.e.   can I filter traffic at a range that I choose?

I don't want to clutter my screen with traffic that will have no effect on my flight but do want to see something that might affect me in 5 minutes (roughly everything within 15 nm)

I did not get my MLB100 working for traffic until Tuesday and I have not seen any configuration options on map configuration page

Ed,

Using the traffic thumbnail you can filter the "above/below/normal/unrestricted" and it will update what's shown on the map.

Changing the thumbnail range had no affect on what was displayed on the map.

I get that

Question is on ability for filter out traffic on map that is outside a specific nm range from my location

Other than the toggle between the "normal range" options and the "unrestricted" option, I am not aware of any way to control the range limit displayed on the IFD.
