I had two IFD440's installed in my Cirrus last week.  The lower left knob, when pressed, should toggle the active and standby COM fields to the active and standby NAV fields.  This works with 440 #1 ONLY when USER 1 is selected on the AUX page.  If USER 2, 3, 4 or 5 is selected the only thing that happens when you press the Com/Nav knob is the cyan colored box around the Standby Com field toggles on and off.

440 #2 behaves the same, except it works correctly for USER 1 or 2, but not USER 3, 4, or 5.  To my knowledge, USERs 3, 4, and 5 are still factory defaulted on both units.  I could not find any combination of user settings that would change the way the units behaved.

The unit will load and activate the proper frequency and track it perfectly when flying an ILS, but there is no way to manually see or tune the NAV frequency  The installer has apparently not received a solution from Tech Support yet.

Any ideas?

Whoa, that is weird.   We'll check it out in the lab in the morning and re-post here.

I just realized, the simulator does the exact same thing.

Found and fixed today.  It will be part of Release 10.1.1.0.

If this does happen to anyone prior to loading 10.1.1.0, you can do the following to clear it:

The 1st time you select Datablock Setup for a given user profile, the cursor starts at the position reserved for the COM/NAV datablocks.  Once you move off that position, you can never go back (which is correct). But until you move off, you can wreck havoc with your datablocks until you select Factory Defaults.

So one workaround is after an initial load of software release 10.1.0.0, you should select each User Profile and select the Factory Default on the Datablock Setup Page by pressing and holding the bottom right knob for a few potatoes then confirming the dialog box.

Let me know if you need a better corrective action description.
