Does anyone know what pin the GPS pos comes in on the KT 74
transponder. I know it is not the same as the Trig TT31? The encoder
serial input is on that pin. Any help appreciated.

It would be helpful to know if the KT74 actually works with the 540 in regards to ADS-B Out, but unfortunately it is not approved.  Its not Avidyne's fault, but the FAA requires each pair of transponders and position sources to be approved.  King has not approved theirs for the 540.  I have an email from King that says it isn't approved and they are not going to work on approval until they see how well the 540 does in the market.  That was about a month ago.

They may be waiting to see how well the 770 does in the market, as well. ;-)

It was really folly of the FAA to create an STC construct for this, it really hampers choices in installations.
