Here is a picture of David's panel, he can fill in the blanks.  The only comment I can make is man, that autopilot wants to make you cry for a DFC90.

Thanks for the softball pitch, Geoff, or maybe a straight line...

If there were servos.....

This has:
Dual 540s
340 TXP
PSE 450 Audio panel (pix taken before installed, but it is there now)
TAS605 TAS (Avidyne, would like the "A" part!!)
Alpha Systems AOA

would love a DFC90...

Jake:

Sincerely, (a veteran myself), thanks for your service.

No, they got it done and found a voltage problem in the AP controller.

Note a DFC90 deficit.........you could fix that.....

I can't wait to fly it, with the traffic, and the ADS-B, and oh, yes, the IFDs.

OK, fellow pilots, picked up the Bonanza today.

EAM Scottsdale did an amazing job.  <This was their first Avidyne install>.

Flew from PHX to TUS behind dual IFD540s, AXP340, and TAS605.  (Also installed AOA, but it isn't calibrated yet).

The 540s are impressive; good resolution, good color clarity, fast processor for screen redraw.

A lot to learn, sim is nice, but there is a fair amount of "How did I do that on the sim?".

Not wise to take off and immediately navigate a busy IFR FP or, in this case, a dense PHX class B.

I think I'm gonna like this....

And BTW, Geoffrey, the AP though older than you, did very well.

David,

Sounds like you need more practice. If you want to fly back up to DVT, I'll buy lunch and supply some drool.

Sean:

You are right on the need for practice.  I'd love to do both lunch and some flying.

First day's experience in PHX class B says you need to be on your game, and with some time I expect to get there.

When do you get yours?

I have to go to SEA in the aluminum tube today and RIC next week, but maybe we could meet up after that.

All I can say beyond the above, is, it's great equipment.  I am looking in the piggy bank to see if there are other Avi-enhancements.  No DFC90 for years I suspect though, Grrr.

I'm month 6 for the 540 and month 1 for the 440, so I'm guessing February for the 540 and April for the 440. Hoping I can get a smoking deal on adding the audio panel, transponder and spherics at the same time.

Reach out when you get back --- bellanca1730a <at> gmail.com
