I recently did my first night flight with the DFC90. I found the panel to be too bright and it wouldn't dim with the rest of the instruments.

How can the brightness of the panel be adjusted for the DFC90? Does it take a rheostat input like e.g. the King radios?

Thanks!

Regards,
Achim

Yes, the DFC90 is designed to be tied to the avionics dimming bus.  If it's not controlled with the same dimming control (e.g. dimming rheostat) as the rest of the avioincs bus devices, then something likely didn't get wired correctly at install.
