I have been told that the 3100 new VNAV feature will only work with Garmin avionics. I am aware 10.3 introduces an enhancement to VNAV but apparently it will not work with the 3100 per Genesys.

Steve, can you explain why the IFD would not be able to drive 3100 VNAV?

You'd have to ask the Genesys guys why they think that would be the case. Maybe it's an STC thing?
