The MLX770 has a wonderful messaging function.... however, with the EX600, it is about as easy to use as a 1997 cell phone...

The soft-keyboard on the IFD540 offers a lot of improvements here.....

Same for using it with services like Rocket Rute.

Just want to wake up this subject: Is there at least an approximate indication when the IFD-540 will be able to communicate/control the MLX-770?

No approximation. It's competing with a lot of other candidates to get on the release roadmaps and we're just not spending any time working that roadmap out as we're all hands on deck getting the initial release of the 540 across the line.

It'll happen but I'm not sure when yet.
