This post is a wrap up of Sun-n-Fun (and the dealer/installer AEA show the following week) from Avidyne's perspective
It was fun to see so much interest in the Avidyne product line. A special thanks go out to all those who purchased some Avidyne gear at the show.
Some of the most frequently heard feedback included:
- Hurry up and get that IFD540 certified!
- Hurry up and get SynVis certified for the R9 line!
- Is the DFC90 almost certified for the 182/Bonanza/Baron/Saratoga/Cirrus?
- Please certify the DFC90 for <fill in the blank> aircraft
- Please certify the DFC90 to also work with the Garmin G500/G600 unit
- Constant questions wondering if there is a more efficient/less expensive, and quicker nav and chart database solution
- Significant interest in the availability of the PFD4000 8" PFD
- Significant interest in the possibility of a Garmin 430 replacement to complement the IFD540 for those cockpits that don't have the space available for one or two IFD540s
- Please confirm that your new transponder is ADS-B compliant
- General confusion on what it really takes to be ADS-B compliant from an aircraft perspective
- Many people pleased to see we'll have our own servo solution (especially interesting to that large body of aircraft that don't currently have a functional autopilot)
- Continued recognition from the customer and dealer communities that Avidyne Customer Service has experienced a very positive turn-around when compared to 3-4 years ago
- General excitement overall that there is now an alternative supplier for virtually every system in the flight deck
Of course there was a lot more feedback but those were the biggies. As always, we found it very helpful to have a chance to directly interact with so many current and future customers and a lot of dealers/installers.
For the sake of post brevity, I won't type up responses to each of those bullets but if there are any you want to hear more about, or any that I missed, perhaps we can use this thread on this forum to re-address.
Standing by to react/reply........
