I run two pads, one running Foreflight and a second running IDF100 using the Stratus box as the server. On your webinar on the IDF100, you stated that Foreflight cannot forward weather or traffic to the IDF440 (I knew that) but that Traffic and Weather can be forwarded to the IDF100 via the Stratus II-Foreflight link. Ever since that Webinar, I have been trying to get this to work on my Stratus II Wifi link and so far no cigar. I can get the IDF440 to pass information back and forth between the ipads, (ie Flight plans etc all to talk to each oth. I damn sure cant the IDF100 to accept data traffic and weather data. am I missing something? Claude Allen ------------- Claude |

The IFD100 won't take either weather or traffic from the Stratus. FF will. So FF gets FP etc from IFD. Wx and Traffic from Stratus. IFD100 can display what comes out of the IFD box. ------------- David Gates |

Not according to the Avidyne IDF100 Webinar. You can find it on the Avidyne Webpage. This was in reply to the post stating that the IDF100 could not receive this data from the foreflight Stratus receiver. ------------- Claude |

I don't know how foreflight plays into this since I don't use foreflight, but the IFD100 can get adsb support from a stratux, which is in the webinar between minutes 28 and 30.

Its in the ifd100 settings in ipad settings, not in the app, where you set the chassis ID. See page 7 of the ifd100 user manual (although that doesn't show the adsb setting). You can see the setting at minute 28 of the IFD100 webinar you can access from the avidyne website. |
