I have been using FlyQ for sometime now and really prefer it over the others. I recently upgraded from a GNS530 to the IFD540.  FlyQ will not show GPS Altitude and Heading. They both indicate zero. The ADSB data, traffic and weather, show correctly on FlyQ. It is connected via WiFi to the 540.

Seattle Avionics says I'm the only one in the world with this issue and I just don't believe it. They have been basically leading me on for 3 or 4 months on this issue and they are unwilling or unable to fix it although they advertise Avidyne support.

Has anyone heard of this problem?

p.s. Foreflight shows the GPS data correctly but Foreflight doesn't show ADSB data from the Avidyne as of yet.

Transponder is a GTX345.

you might be able to get the ADS-B data on ForeFlight if you connect both the IFD-540 and the iPad to the WiFi network of the GTX-345. Others do this with the network of a Stratus ADS-B receiver and can then exchange flight plans with the IFD while getting ADS-B data from the ADS-B receiver.

I do wish I could get traffic and weather on ForeFlight from my built-in Avidyne MLB-100. Alas, both ForFlight and Avidyne say it is up to the other party to fix the issue. I may replace the Avidyne transponder and ADS-B receiver because of this.

I regularly use FlyQ EFB connected to my IFD540 too. It takes a minute or two for my FlyQ EFB to register the magnetic course and GPS altitude after FlyQ EFB indicates it is "Connected to Avidyne". I have had FlyQ EFB occasionally error with its ownship display; a close and reopen of the app usually corrects the issue.

I have found it helpful to make sure that BlueTooth on my iPad is turned off/disabled while using FlyQ EFB connected via WiFi to my IFD540.

I currently get all FIS-B and TIS-B information (from the MLB100/Skytrax100) on FlyQ EFB when connected to the IFD540 as well as flight plan transfers from FlyQ EFB to the IFD540. The only feature I see currently lacking is flight plan transfers from the IFD540 to FlyQ EFB. SA had this feature working flawlessly before the 10.2.1 upgrade; however, something in that upgrade broke this functionality and SA has since turned it off pending a fix.

I am anxious to get the IFD to FlyQ FP transfer back as I think it is much more useful in enroute operations and much easier to perform than FlyQ to IFD FP transfers. Unfortunately, the fix for this seems to keep getting pushed back with each new FlyQ EFB update. Seems to me a conversation between SA and Avidyne could have this resolved in fairly short order.

The GTX345 has bluetooth, not wifi.

I also use FlyQ, it is by far easier and less expensive than the competition. I also turn off the blue tooth when connected to the wifi, it seems to function better for me that way. I have also had that issue about the heading, but resolving it by the on/off method has always worked for me...GO FLYQ it is better...

I use both FlyQ and Garmin Pliot. FlyQ gives me my position on approach plates and airport diagrams which I like, but it doesn't have a logbook feature, and I love that part of Garmin Pilot. Also, Garmin Pilot connects to my GTX-345, so I get traffic and ADS-B radar, FlyQ only gives me traffic because I haven't had the line to connect the 345 to my IFD-440 done yet.

If FlyQ had a logbook feature I'd use it more and probably let my Garmin pilot subscription end. FlyQ is half the cost with more features other than that.

The GTX345 has bluetooth, not wifi.

Can you then connect the iPad to the IFD WiFi and the GTX-345 Bluetooth so ForeFlight gets the ADS-B data from the GTX-345 and can still transfer flight plans back and forth to the IFD via WiFi?

I have a lifetime subscription to the IFR version of FlyQ, but I still prefer to use ForeFlight. I find its interface easier, and the app is more fluid on my iPad Pro.

I took HenryM's suggestion and have ForeFlight working. I do prefer FlyQ though and will continue to bug them. I'm paid up through 2020 with SA.
