Lately, my IFD 100 does not receive weather (Metars, TAFs, etc) or the color coded weather symbols on the chart.  The IFD 540 it communicates with does receive all the weather fine.  Everything else is fine including flight plan entering and frequencies.  Any ideas?

I can pass this along to tech support.  What is your weather source?  Also, what version of IFD software and IFD-100 software are you running?

Thanks Steve.  I use ADS-B for the weather source via the MLB 100 (Skytrax).  The IFD software is the latest (10.2 I believe) and the IFD 100 software is 10.2.0.  It used to work fine but stopped a couple of months ago.  I did make a change to my Jepp subscription 2 months ago and Avidyne suggested I reinstall the app to get the charts to show.  I can't be sure but that may be when this started.

Steve,
I flew again yesterday and for some strange reason, the weather started showing on the IFD100 again.  It was not there for the previous 6 flights and I didn't change anything but it was back.  I'll continue to monitor and let you know.

Well I'm glad it's working again.  We have experienced a problem where every once in a while a data packet is lost somewhere in the transmission chain to the IFD100, and when that happens the IFD100 takes a lot of time trying to recover the data stream.  We have made some improvements in that area in release 10.2.1.  Hopefully your system will continue to work well until that is available (which I'm expecting to be pretty soon).

Cool,  Do you happen to know if the correction for the wrong ETA is being fixed in 10.2.1?

The only ETA related item that I know of that was fixed in 10.2.1 was an issue where the time was partially overwritten by the AM/PM suffix when being displayed in local time in a datablock.  If you can be more specific about the problem, I can check into it further.
