OK, now that I finally have ADS-B working on the IFD's, I'm ready to turn it off.

On the ground, the constant aural traffic squawking is driving me nuts at busy airports. My copilot's full-time job is to repeatedly push the clear button in an attempt to keep the racket to a minimum. This is VERY distracting when trying to copy a complex taxi instruction, especially when alone. No, actually it's worse than that, it's a safety issue and I can find no way to fix it other just disconnect it again. Sigh...

The IFD's should be smart enough to suppress these warnings when the aircraft is on the ground and I'm very disappointed that they are not.

I support the concept of squelching traffic alerts while the aircraft is on the ground.  But in the meanwhile, you could just go into the Volumes page on the AUX screens and turn down your Alerts Volume when you're on the ground.

This is the issue with the ADS-B+ format and 10.2. As I mentioned in another post there are a number of ways to fix it for 10.2.1 which is what Avidyne intends to do, I'm told.

Yes, I have alerts volume turned down as far as possible but, at least in my installation, it's still loud enough to make all other voice communications difficult.
