AXP340 arrives Tuesday (2nd Dec).

IFD540 arrives Wednesday (3rd Dec).

They will be installed and running by the end of next week. I'm done twiddled in my last airway routing waypoint by waypoint! And all the rest.

I'm a little GIDDY!

Yes, pics will follow.

Did they move your delivery up?  I was scheduled for the 8th.  I got my airplane in the shop now, having them tear it all apart so I'm ready for the install.  I'm getting kinda excited too.  Kinda like graduation day is here...

No, the original notification indicated a shipping date of 1st Dec. So it is right on schedule.

Orest,

Congratulations, I know this has been a long wait.  I appreciate you posts on here.  I have learned a lot from you.  I hope to get mine in January.

Why thanks Jack. We all learn from each other. Be sure to post about your install.

My 540 arrived at the shop on Tuesday, Nov 18.  I dropped the plane off on Nov 19.  The AXP-340 didn't ship until this past Wednesday, so they either got it Friday or will get it early next week.  My new PMA-450 audio panel arrived on Nov 24, I think.  I'm getting a new GI-106A indicator, too.  I stopped by the shop on Wednesday (Nov 26), and they were hard at work.  I'm hoping they'll have it done by the end of next week. I mentioned the software update (10.0.2.0), and they already have downloaded it, so that's taken care of (or soon will be)

I'm hoping to get the plane back this weekend.  They were trying to track the AXP-340 yesterday -- hopefully UPS/FedEx didn't lose it.

I have been feeding my shop tips such as "software update is available for download", "make sure and run the wires for the standby audio", and "make sure and run the wire for the audio alerts such as terrain alerts", etc.  I've also clearly listed the other interfaces:  position to ELT, position to xpndr, RS-232 to/from fuel flow, etc.  He probably would have gotten it all correct, but I just wanted to be sure.  At least the shop is close by if I need to go back.

Well, the plane is a bit of a mess again, but all for a GOOD cause!

No "red bow" on these boxes, but it is an early Christmas for sure! I'm kind of giddy.

The new IFD540 GPS/COM/NAV peeking out of its box ...

The AXP340 (1090ES) transponder ....

Out with the G, and in with the A!

My new center stack.

Absolutely LOVE the IFD540.

I just lucked out with the AXP340 deal, as the unit is in short supply. My shop had an extra AXP340 in stock.
