Maybe this was an issue in previous versions; in my prior plane I had an Aspen and never used the air-data pages.
The ALT and TAT pages pull up a full alphanumeric keyboard when tapped, instead of the numeric-only version that the other fields use. Maybe this is so you can enter units? Or maybe it's a bug. Someone who used this in prior versions might be better able to tell us the answer.

the 10.2 trainer brings up the numeric keypad, the 10.3 trainer brings up the full keyboard with the numbers across the top but only when selecting Altitude or TAT, otherwise it is just the 10 digit numeric keypad. I'm assuming the actual IFD will do the same as the simulator so this is either a bug or deliberate change.

The 10.3 actual IFD shows the alpha keyboard for altitude and TAT-- so at least the 10.3 trainer is consistent. Whether it's a bug or not, further affiant sayeth not.
