Not sure if this is a configuration PIN# problem or
Not. I went into maintenance mode using the "update database" LSK From "AUX" (i.e. without using a USB at boot and no USB Connected at all). I went to Config. Entered the PIN#. Then, I twisted the lower right Outer knob to get to the lighting config page. I changed settings on that page But when I went to another config page, then back to the lighting page, my changes were not saved. I repeated this several times to verify the behavior. I also noticed the same problem when I changed Parameters on other configuration pages. I even attempted going directly from changing the desired parameter in config to exiting maintenance mode. Nothing I tried would save the changed parameters when I went back into maintenance mode to check. How do I make the ifd440 retain parameters that I change in maintenance mode? Thank you. The settings are saved as soon as you change them. As you say, though, if the PIN isn't correct then they don't get saved. If a PIN is required and has not been entered correctly, the top of the pages will say "Password Protected".

After I entered the pin, the yellow 'password protected' message went away, but still did not save my settings. Is there any other indication that the password has been accepted? How do I disable the password?

Better call tech support for that one, then, because after you've successfully entered the PIN, the settings should save. Once you've entered a PIN, you can't get rid of it yourself. But, tech support can send you a DSF that will do it.
