When I put a flight plan into the IFD100 it does not survive a shutdown of the app. (double-tap the iPad button, flick the IFD app to close.)

Is this normal behavior? I assumed anything I put in there would be stored more or less permanently.

IFD100 sometimes flakey, but lately I have consistently been able to enter a New FP at home, and in plane-WiFi it synchs perfectly with panel IFD 540.

When you are entering new FP in the IFD100, be sure after last wpt entered, move the cursor to another Wpt (like previous Wpt) just to make sure the sequence of Wpts is correctly in place... just saying.

That's not really what I'm asking about. Here's the sequence...

I enter a route in the IFD100 and the close the app (by double-tapping the iPad button and flicking the IFD100 app)

Reopen the IFD100 app, route list in the FMS page, Route tab is cleared. Nothing but "Current Route" (KBED origin w/ no dest) and "New Route".

Like I wrote originally, the route list does not seem to survive a shutdown of the app.

Is there something I need to do to "permanently" save a route?

I've got an older iPad mini, IOS 9.3.5 (13G36). Is that a problem?

Vancaid -

Lots of possibilities.  I had the same problem with my "Wapoint" List.
.  What happens to your IFD100 Routes/Wpts when you synch with your IFD540/440?
.  Try synching your IFD100 to panel IFD (540/440) to establish a Route LIst from your panel unit first.
.  Then add a NEW Route on the IFD100 outside the panel IFD WiFi, and then turn on WiFi and see what happens in a new Synch...

One thing to try is to Fully/Completely delete the IFD100 App - may require a full iPad Restore" to remove underlying saved or corrupted data.  Try this before replacing/upgrading the iPad.

I finally replaced my older iPad mini-4 with iPad mini-5 and all fixed, but who knows if this was just a coincidence?

You  may want to review a thread I started last October titled "IFD100 release 10.2.8" in the IFD100 App forum section detailing almost identical issues I had with my original iPad mini running iOS 9.3.6. Ultimately, I could not resolve the issues with the IFD100 on my original iPad mini and ended up replacing it with an iPad mini version 5.

The IFD100 currently runs rather flawlessly on both my iPad Pro 9.7" and iPad mini version 5.
