3 timesover 2 flights on separate days into/out of KALB IFD changed my standby freq into the active on its own. IFD 100 was not in use. Has anyone else ever seen this? Logs have been downloaded and sen to Avidyne. In looking at events log, when the freq change was intentional the keystroke sequence was L6L press and release, but unintentional was L3L press L6L press L6L release L3L release. I've figured out L6L is the freq swap line select key, but have no idea what L3L could be. In 7 months of using the IFD I have never seen this before.

Do you have a single unit, or two IFDs?

Was your iPad connected, even if the IFD100 was not running?

It is single unit. Can't remember if at that time Ipad was connected to the 440 or to the stratus. It was probably connected to Stratus for Nexrad, but can't be sure.

I haven't looked for sure, but there is probably a remote input to switch them. Could this be an errant wire or contact unknown to you? Just a thought....

Yes, there is a remote freq flip input, as I have it wired in my plane.
