For those who'd like a hard-copy pilots guide and don't want to assemble it themselves from a printed PDF (or pay the FedEx store to do so), Avidyne has them for pre-order on their web store.   There does not appear to be a direct link from the Avidyne home page, but you can get to it with the link below (you will probably need to copy and paste in your browser), or by going to the IFD page and clicking the "Buy Direct!" button, then clicking the "Accessories" section in the left column.

Looks like you can only pre-order it. Assume this would be the 10.2 version.

Yes, it is set to preorder now. We had an issue with the proofs we received from the printing house so we should hopefully have them available soon.

Does this guide have black and white for illustrations or full color?

It would surely have to be color, b&w illustrations would make it useless. The original published manuals were full color.

+1

For $50, it should be color.

I was one of the early depositors for the IFD 440.  July 2012.
When I received the unit in Aug 2015 it came with a cheap paper black & white illustration pilot's guide.  I thew it away.
If the new one is black & white illustrations I wont bother ordering one.

I was a bit ahead of you, and for the 540. I got a first-class, full color loose leaf manual, and Jake's intent at the time was to provide updates as they came out. Unfortunately it was deemed cost prohibitive, so they canned the project I guess.

Having it available for $50 is a sensible solution, for those that want the paper.
