I bought a plane (C-182) six months ago with a Garmin 530, G3x, and GFC 500. I swapped out the 530 for an Avidyne 540, and have had serious issues with the G3x: Obstacles appear and disappear on the screen, when I'm at altitude, and the screen flickers frequently, to white and back to normal. Does anyone else have this combination? Does it work ok?

Can you tell me more… i.e. any particular settings you’ve made to make it work? Since your’s works well and mine doesn’t, I’m trying to understand what might make the difference. For example, what software level is on your 540? Your obstacle and terrain warnings are normal?

540 software is the latest, no issues with obstacle and terrain behaviour. All settings were done during installation by avionics tech.
It sounds to me like your issues might be standalone with your G3X rather than anything to do with the 540.
