What is the status of certification of the Aspen / Cirrus configuration? I did not see any reference to it in your recent Baron Press Release. I gather that things were not as transferable as you had hoped from the Cessna 182 efforts. Nevertheless, the last I heard it was "any day now".

Not sure where the "any day now" rumors keep coming from but they are bogus.
However, that being said, it's any day now. No, just kidding but not by much. The FAA did finally accept in writing in the form of an approved certification plan our similarity argument approach. We will be submitting the final paperwork for this cert add-on to the FAA later this week and have reason to believe we can expect a quick turn from the FAA. Our definitions of "quick" may differ a lot but I think we're looking at 2-3 weeks for that approval. |

Yes, we did submit the material last week. We're now in a waiting game. If we haven't heard from the FAA within a week, we'll ping them for an update.

Lot of back and forth between us and the FAA on various details. Nothing unpleasant, just the standard jibber jabber. The FAA is very actively working it.

It took a while but we just received STC approval 5 min ago for the Cirrus-Aspen-DFC90 combo.
