TWX Install in Two Weeks

   My TWX670 gets installed in 2 weeks.
In my panel I have the following:

IFD 540 x 2
Aspen Pro 1000 PFD
Aspen Pro 1000 MFD

In thinking about how to configure, does the following make sense:
RS232 connections to IFDs (2) in "native mode"
RS232 connection to Aspens in "compatability mode"

1.  Does that make sense?
2.  Can the TWX670 box configure to make different RS232 connections in different modes?

I'd like to do this once.  

Appreciate any help or suggestions.
