In 2 situations I have noticed my IFD showing a METAR from other than the selected airport.  In both situations the airports are close on one another and each report weather from an AWOS. The runway information is correct.

In the DVO/O69 instance DVO was originally my destination.

Running 10.1.1 software. Any ideas?

In the IFD540 Pilots Guide Section 3-23 Revision 02 "METAR Flags in Flight Plan The right edge of each leg in a flight plan presents a METAR flag for the closest reporting station, if the station is different from the previous leg’s station. The station for which the METAR flag applies is decoded immediately beneath the flag and may not be exactly the same location as the leg itself."

In this case, it appears weather isn't available at the destination so it picks the closest station that is reporting weather.

In both cases weather IS available at the destination, and WAS available on my iPad via a ForeFlight and Stratus so I assume there may be a different issue.

Fritz,
Does your 540 get its weather from XM/Sirius or from ADS-B IN?   I have mine through the MLB700 (Sirius) and have seen the same issue you have and I believe Simpson is correct in my case.  Just because weather is available at a location with ADS-B (Foreflight) does not mean it is also picked up by Sirius, and Visa Versa.  There have been times I have the correct destination weather on my 540 and Foreflight does not have it

Weather data is ADSB via MLB100.
