540 lighting

   I just did my first night flight in months, and had a lighting issue.  Twice during the first hour of the flight, the 540 display and bezel lighting went suddenly full bright.  Checking settings, both display and bezel were set on auto.  Resetting each to auto (turning to something else and back) fixed the problem, temporarily, until it did it again.  
I had the Avidyne Bluetooth keyboard active, and had previously had a few problems (sudden uncommanded changes on the display).  I turned it off, and had no further lighting problems, but of course not sure whether the keyboard was the cause or not.  

Has anyone else had this problem, or is it possible that the keyboard could cause this problem?
