Given that the newer G systems can output VNAV enroute, is it possible for the DFC90 to fly those crossing altitudes or waypoints?

I'm afraid we have no idea.  We don't have any access to the message protocol.  However, the vertical data for the DFC90 to follow comes from the PFD so even if we had the protocol data from Garmin, and if it were somehow compatible, there would be quite a bit of work required.

OK thanks. So the vertical data is handled differently from the NAV data which I presume comes straight to the DFC from the 430ws etc now.
