Hi,

I like the IFD540+440 and made some suggestions in this forum....

This one addresses a "flight log" where you can see the e.g. last 10 flights in descending order (last flight first) on a touch:

Flight# Date DEP offblock TKO DEST LDG LDGs onblock TTblock TTflight
1 06/12/2017 KMLB 13:29 13:37 KTIX 14:27 1 14:31 01:02 00:50 Reset
.. 06/11/2017 KMLB 22:00 22:15 KMLB 22:40 4 22:42 00:42 00:25 Reset
10 05/10/2017 KVRB 02:20 02:30 KMLB 02:50 1 02:55 00:35 00:20 Reset

It could be inserted into the AUX/SYS page ("Flight Log") or in the AUX/UTIL Page with flip/flop to "Timers" (like the flip/flop "AUX/Setup/SetupMap/SetupFMS-Mechanism" or simple as 10 new Timer-Types in the AUX/UTIL/Timer Menu, where you can add Timers of such a FlightLog Type.

However, this could be very comfortable for documentation of all the last flights!

Some details:

Offblock: Time when unit is switched on
TKO: TakeoffTime, e.g. when GS>30kts
LDG: LandingTime, e.g. when GS<30kts
Onblock: Time, when unit is switched off
LDGs: +1 when GS<80kts and nearest Airport less than 1nm away (configurable?)
DEP&DEST: Nearest airport at time of TKO&LDG

A download choice would also be werde helpful!

Any comments?
Any chance for next release?

Regards
Guenter

Then send it to your electronic logbook.

Note: A standard already exists in turbine aircraft, if we wish to employ it.  These are known as OOOI times:

Out
Off
On
In

Details vary, but generally the Off/On logic is dictated by a weight-on-wheels landing gear sensor.  For our purposes, a GPS groundspeed threshold is a reasonable substitute.

The Out/In logic has more variation across operators, but the state of the parking brake (set/released) is usually a factor.  For our purposes, a groundspeed of more than 1 knot might be usable.  The power on time might be a good trigger.  I don't think using the power-off time as a trigger would be wise.  Makes it hard to look at the data for the last flight.

System logic gets much more complicated in cases of a gate return, or a repositioning of the aircraft on the airport (like to a fuel pump or to maintenance).
