On my setup I have all the airdata coming over from the ASPEN on the 429 line. The 540 airdata calculator will always show the correct density altitude without further intervention. All good.
But, the odd thing is that the altimeter setting on the 540 airdata calculator page does NOT match the ASPEN, in fact it never changes, BUT changing the altimeter setting on the ASPEN does vary the density altitude on the airdata calculator page, as it should. Further, manually changing the altimeter setting on the 540 airdata calculator page does nothing, other than changing that one displayed value. The error appears to be that the altimeter setting on the 540 airdata calculator page has been left as user modifiable, but its value is ignored. As such, it won't correctly reflect the airdata altimeter setting that is being sent to the 540. It is the incoming airdata altimeter setting that is used in the density altitude calculation, as it should be. So this is really just a cosmetic bug, but there it is. Hope that is clear. * Orest Edited by oskrypuch - 19 Dec 2014 at 7:46pm |

Yes. We haven't gotten around to root causing the observation yet but it's in the queue.
I'll update this thread when we do have more information. |

... is false. My mistake. The DA does not change while editing the value, BUT once exiting the edit mode, it does. AND, the DA is only correct, if you edit the barometer setting to its correct value SORRY, please DISREGARD this post. * Orest Edited by oskrypuch - 19 Dec 2014 at 8:00pm |
