Dear all, I am using an IFD 100 S/W version 10.2.4.1 on an ipad Mini together with an IFD540/IFD440 combi both running S/W Ver 10.2.2.0.A.

Avidynesettings on the ipad, Sys ID, Device Nr. etc. are all configured correctly, WIFI is on on den 540/440s but the Avidyne app does not connect.

Is ist necessary to upgrade the 540/440 and should this solve the problem or could you advise what i can do in this environment?

Kind regards Michael Geringer

Try turning off the WiFi from the IFD440. Verify your IFD100 settings indicate IFD540 for IFD Type and the IFD Chassis ID # matches the the IFD540 Sys ID # on the AUX SYS Software Status tab.

Alternatively, you could turn off the IFD540 WiFi and match the IFD100 settings to your IFD440.

Once those settings are confirmed, try connecting your iPad mini to your panel IFD.

This all assumes either or both of your panel IFD’s are set up in their default WiFi host mode.

Are there any requirements as to what the matching ID can be? if the 540 is unit 1 and the 440 unit 2, can the IFD100 (set to unit 2) communicate with the 440 with the 540 wifi off?

Yes, you can connect the IFD100 to either of the IFDs.  Be sure to go into the iPad settings for the IFD100 app and set IFD Chassis ID# to match the IFD that you're connecting to.

As you mentioned, we recommend turning WiFi "Off" on the other IFD.

This will not work unless both IFD's are set via dip switches to ID#1. The iPad settings for IFD100 Chassis ID# don't seem to matter. See this thread:

I can assure you that chassis ID is not ignored.  But it sounds like you have something that works for you, so that's good.
